Even organs which have been regularly tuned and well maintained can build up dust and dirt within the organ pipes impairing their ability to work to their best. The build-up means that the organ will not be as reliable as it once was, and some notes can start to sound “off”.
We recommend a complete organ cleaning at least every 20-25 years to ensure that this build-up does not occur and that the organ stays in the best order. We recommend full cleans are more frequent for organs situated in poor environments.
