Tuning and Maintenance

Daly Organs Ltd is responsible for the regular tuning and maintenance of over 400 pipe organs, ranging from small instruments to substantial parish church organs. Based in Worcestershire, we work extensively across the Midlands and provide services throughout the UK and Wales.

Our tuning and maintenance work is carried out with a strong emphasis on reliability, musical consistency and mechanical stability, ensuring that each instrument performs dependably throughout the year. We offer routine tuning visits, planned maintenance programmes, and one-off visits as required. An emergency call-out service and recording or event standby can also be provided where needed.

For churches and institutions we are visiting for the first time, our approach begins with a careful initial inspection. During this visit we assess the overall condition of the instrument, identify any immediate issues, and gain an understanding of its mechanical, tonal and environmental context. This is followed by a clear written report, outlining our findings and recommendations.

Based on this assessment, we can advise on appropriate tuning intervals, ongoing maintenance schedules, or specific remedial work, always tailored to the needs of the instrument and its use. Our aim is to support each organ with practical, informed care that promotes long-term reliability and musical quality.
